Monday Morning Musings

Grace and peace to all of you in the Lord. Yesterday was such a good day. We were packed. The worship was wonderful. We finished up our sermon series on the beauty of Christ as seen in the fruit of the Spirit. The meal was fantastic (thanks again to our kitchen team)! Still no word on our Day of Giving results but we will be grateful for whatever the Lord did.
Don't forget …
  • the International Night of Prayer here at the church starting at 6pm.
  • Women's Progressive Dinner on Dec 6th — sign up now.
  • Bethel Kids Christmas Musical on Dec 7th, Sunday Morning.
  • No services this Wednesday night!!!
Here's some links …
Why Satan Persists … and we need to know it.
The Danger of Defensive Sanctification … an interesting point. Why are you trying to grow in godliness?
Can You Love Jesus … and not the church. I don't see how, at least, not long-term.
Forevergreen … parents, you might want to watch with your kiddos, this animated short film that was partially inspired by the Parable of the Prodigal Son.

“I would maintain that thanks are the highest form of thought, and that gratitude is happiness doubled by wonder.”—G. K. Chesterton

“The aim of life is appreciation; there is no sense in not appreciating things; and there is no sense in having more of them if you have less appreciation of them.”—G. K. Chesterton

“When it comes to life the critical thing is whether you take things for granted or take them with gratitude.”—G. K. Chesterton
