Monday Morning Musings

Grace and peace to you all. I trust you survived the rains and storms OK and are resting in the Lord this morning. I am so thankful for our worship service yesterday. It's a privilege to sing the praises of God and to seek the living God with you.
Here's a few things …
  • I forgot to remind you not to forget about our Annie Armstrong Easter Offering. This offering goes to the NAMB, an agency of our Southern Baptists who are dedicated to missions efforts in North America. You can give anytime you like.
  • Also, Melissa Hinton will be here on Sunday and will give an update on the work the Hintons are doing in Romania.
  • Mark your calendar for Maundy Thursday (of Easter week) and our  Easter Block Party on Saturday …. and then Easter Sunday Morning!
  • Women's Wednesday Bible study starts this week and my class is going to pass out flyers with the youth for our Easter Block Party.
Here's some links:
How a Local Church Preserves the Gospel … great story about CHBC and ordinary people and ordinary means.
How Do I Let Others In … after I have been hurt.
Abortion is the Sacrament of Satan … powerful, and never heard it put like this.
An African Baptism … super encouraging and convicting.
It May Not Be Burnout or Stress … it may be something simpler.
Bunyan: “There is a difference between growing worse and worse, and your seeing more clearly how bad you are..” (Works 1:287)

Gurnall: “Do not necessarily think your grace has gotten weaker because your sense of personal sin has gotten stronger” (Complete Armour, 1:250)
