Monday Morning Musings

It was a good day yesterday at Bethel. The youth spaghetti fundraiser … the Dusty Walker family was with us (they are expecting again!) … a mission team was sent to East Tennessee … the good news of Jesus was proclaimed in song and word and prayer … the communion of saints. Praise the Lord!
Don't forget:
  • To sign up for our mission trips to Scotland (in July) and Boston (in early June). Time is running out. We need to book tickets now.
  • Senior Adult luncheon this Wednesday at the Colorado Grill.
Here's some links …
What Is the Deepest Impulse of your Heart? … try self-justification. And watch this moving 2 minute testimony of a prisoner who has experienced this.
Stop and Ponder … you will see God. And think about this — how do you live a holy life? Part of that is in enjoying God. Look at this little piece of advice from a mom to a daughter.
Anora and Andrew Tate … so disturbing. There's a better way.
John Stott's Morning Prayer … so simple and yet so profound.
The Centrality of the Local Church … why the local church (not just you by yourself) is so powerful. Why does God want you to gather with other believers?
“Our Lord has written the promise of resurrection, not in books alone, but in every leaf in springtime.” [Martin Luther]
