Happy Inauguration Day! I don't know that there is such a thing but today is that day. It's a great day for our nation, this peaceful transition of power, and that's true no matter who won the presidency. It's a historical marvel. But, as important as it is, King Jesus was placed on the throne a long, long time ago. Enjoy the day but worship the king, all glorious above!
Missed you all yesterday. Perhaps we can have a Sunday in January without snow! Lord willing, this Sunday I will see you all.
Here are a few things …
- Our membership class is still on for this Sunday. Lunch is provided (see below) and so is childcare. Let me know if you need it.
- The Chili-Cook-Off has been rescheduled for this Sunday as well. Make sure you help out with this youth fundraiser.
- Also, if you are a committee leader or ministry leader or coordinator of some kind in our church, remember that we have a calendaring meeting on Feb 2nd right after service. Lunch will be provided at that meeting also.
- We will also ordain Dalton Garrett and Ricky Parrish as deacons at our morning worship service on Feb 9th. And following that we will have a short interest meeting for our upcoming mission trips.
