Monday Morning Musings

Greetings in the name of Christ! I trust your yesterday was helpful and hope-filled. I really enjoyed meeting some new folks and worshiping with the same members I have known for years. And watching brothers and sisters come forward to take the Lord's Supper is always a great encouragement!
Here's a few things to keep note of:
  • There's a parent luncheon with Rob Burdette this coming Sunday. Let KC know if you are going.
  • Also, on November 24th, we have several things going on — we have a Day of Giving to help make up some deficit in our budget (give a little extra please!); we have our annual Thanksgiving Meal following the service; and, that evening at 5pm we host the community Thanksgiving service with other area churches with a finger-food meal following.
  • Speaking of giving — we gave about $7900 to the Blank Bible Project. Because of your generosity over 200 NT verses will be translated into the Katavi language.
Here's some links:
My Children's Wandering Heart … and our Father's never ending love.
There's Something Worse Than Death … and you nor I want it.
Leave Church a Little Tired … that's a good thing — you should.
The Reason the Reformation Lit Up Europe … so good. I wished I had posted this last Thursday. And this is why the gospel can still light up the world.
Belonging Before Believing … it's why we have church membership as we do in our church and we need to do a better job of helping the world see the difference between those inside and outside of Christ.
“We became Christians by faith in Jesus. We stay Christians by faith in Jesus. And we grow as Christians by faith in Jesus.” [J. C. Ryle]
