Monday Morning Musings

The Lord blessed us yesterday! We had two baptisms (Alex Hulsey and Ally Rawlings) and two more joined: Elaine Pugh and Braxton Pugh (who will be baptized on May 19th). We also held our annual corn-hole tournament with Johnny and Amy Banks winning it all.
This Sunday we will be having baby dedications and the next Sunday we will recognize our graduates. We are thankful for the Lord's work in our midst.
Here's some links:

Learning to Pray by Listening in at Church … pay attention when you are around others — it will tell you what to pray for and how to pray.
Love Is No Longer My God … very short but makes a good point.
Do the Gospels Have Contradictions … here's the start of how to answer that.
The Anti-Semitism Awareness Act Is a Big Problem … here's why according to Al Mohler.
Our sins are often as dear to us as our children: we love them, hug them, cleave to them, and delight in them. To part with them is as hard as cutting off a right hand, or plucking out a right eye. But it must be done.– JC Ryle
