Blessings and Greetings to you all! Yesterday was a great day. I so appreciated Jamie Work of the IMB and his labors to share with us the call to the nations. Let's pray like he called us to. And the kid's musical last night was on point. Great job with a great message about the “reason for the season.” Big thanks to Trina Walker, Amy Banks, and Nikki Downs who were the main movers putting that on.
Now, we have a lot going on this week, this season, so take note:
- First, our candidate for associate pastor of youth and discipleship, K. C. Rader (wife Sarah) will be here next weekend. On Saturday morning from 9-11 we will have a meet and greet, come and go, with him and his family, in the youth room. Then again, from 9-9:30 on Sunday morning. From 9:30-10:00 he will talk with the students. And then during the worship service he will share a testimony with the congregation. After the service, we will go into a member's meeting to vote on him as our next associate pastor. Please be in prayer.
- Second, our quarterly member's meeting will take place this Wed night. It's the end of the year, and it's the big one as it looks forward to next year. We will elect deacons and review the nominating team's report, as well as pass our budget for the next year. Make sure you are there.
- Third, we will do our annual Christmas Caroling the next Wednesday night, December 20th, and chili supper. Sing first. Then eat. Join us.
- Fourth, don't forget our Lottie Moon Offering. Let's see if we can't give $5,000. All of this goes to the missions field.

The Curious History of Christmas … fascinating with a good warning.
The Moral Rot Starts at the Top … I saw this last week, these hearings he referred to. It's quite disturbing.
I'm Worried About the Boys Too … you should also listen to his interview with Russell Moore from the Christianity Today podcast about the girls. Haidt is an atheist but his cultural analysis is excellent and what he says about social media and technology is very helpful, and troubling.
Help! I Don't Feel Like Evangelizing … can you identify? I can, even as a pastor.
