Monday Morning Musings on Tuesday Morning

Grace and peace to you. Are you ready for a New Year now that Christmas is in the rear view? My prayer is that 2026 is the year that you grow more in the grace and knowledge of Christ than ever before.
Don't forget …
  • New Year's Eve party here at the church starting at 7pm on Wednesday. Bring a dish and some games.
  • We start in 1st Samuel on Sunday. Get you a journal right here.
  • Remember to pray for our CrossCon group next week, Monday through Wednesday. I'll be going with them this year, as well as KC.
  • Membership class starts on January 11th, during SS. Let me know if you want to do it. It's for those seeking membership or want to know more about what being a good church member looks like.
  • Memorize the Word. We will have some resources for you this Sunday. We want to make this a priority this year. You will have a couple of options: memorize the book of Ephesians with us or 26 short passages/verses.
Here's some links …
Bible Reading Plans for 2026 … choose one and go for it. I can't overestimate the good it will do you.
We Have Smartphones … Why memorize Scripture? You can tell this is a thing this year for us at Bethel. Join with me on this. This Sunday we will give you a couple of resources to help you.
Grieving with Hope … it's the first holiday for many of you without a loved one. And for others, you've been grieving for years.
Five Ways to Honor an Aging Loved One … even when it's hard. It's a privilege but it can be difficult at times.
How to Pray for the M's … you should pray for your fellow church members by name. Here's help to do so.
Character Over Gifting … when thinking about who should be an elder/pastor in a church, always choose character first.

“It’s really wonderful to enter the new year with Jesus Christ… all through the year to be going along with Christ and have Christ going along with you. No matter what the problems, many of them uncertain, many mysteries out there in the future, but Christ is with you. Whether we know the future or not, we know the one who holds the future.” [Billy Graham]

In Christ,
