Monday Morning Musings

Blessings to you all! I trust that the joy of the Lord is your strength right now. And I trust you were blessed yesterday as you worshiped the Lord of joy. Didn't Misty from Isaiah 117 house do a great job? If you are interested in that ministry, just google it. They need volunteers and will take what they can get.
Don't forget:
  • Our church picnic is this Sunday evening at Pioneer Park in Ridgetop. We will provide meat and drinks and buns. Please bring a side and a dessert … and some fun games and such.
  • High School retreat is this weekend. Please pray for them.
Here's some links:
Why Do We Sing? … five reasons. BTW, you should get you a sing hymnal for your personal use at home.
Has Therapeutic Language Invaded the Church … it has. Listen to this podcast to hear why and in what ways and why it's not a good thing.
Reading as Rebellion … and you should rebel!
A Better Hope for the Childless … seems like a good listen in light of yesterday's testimony by Misty.
God's Disciplines Those He Loves … a good word here about how the Lord cleanses us of our idols all our lives. Just a short clip.
“I do not think the church rejoices enough. We all grumble enough and groan enough: but very few of us rejoice enough.” [Charles Spurgeon]
