Monday Morning Musings

Hey all … it was another good day at Bethel. Jamie Butler shared about our Scotland trip. Jackie Klecan (re)joined our church after a few years in Arizona. And we heard that the Lord is with us so we don't have to be afraid.
  • Remember, the SS breakfast is this Sunday from 8:45-9:15.
  • The next Sunday, August 10th is a memorial Sunday, we will remember those we have lost this past year from our church family and baptize Destiny Butler.
  • August 17th my men's deep discipleship group starts back. Sign-up in the foyer.
  • August 24th we have a new member's class that begins right after church. Sign up is in the foyer.
Here's some links …
How Can I Trust God … When He Doesn't Answer My Prayers
Isaiah and the Cost of Security … great insight. There's a price to pay for resting in God's greatness and goodness. Before we feel God is big enough to trust in, we have to feel small enough to need him.
First Zoque Believers Baptized in Mexico … great story from the IMB. Notice how many years they labored to see the first converts.
Who Does Jesus Think He Is? … a question he asked his own disciples.
Why Do You Focus on God's Role … in our suffering. Think back to what I said in yesterday's sermon from Psalm 23:4. The valley of deep darkness is the Lord's path.
