Monday Morning Musings

Grace and peace! The Lord is merciful. He stands at the door and wants into our lives. What a mighty God we serve!
  • So, we had three folks join the church yesterday: Joyce Mooneyhan, Ally Rawlings, and Alex Hulsey, and those last two will be baptized this Sunday.
  • Speaking of this Sunday — we also will have our Cinco De Mayo Cornhole Tourney and Youth/Children Fundraiser. Bring a side or desert. And come ready to play corn-hole. It's only $10 per person and all proceeds fund the youth and kid's camps.
  • Also, special thanks to Nikki Downs, Amy Banks, Crystal O'Brien, Dusty Walker, Tommy & Becci Morgan for their help with the kid's musical yesterday evening. It was fantastic. Great message!
Here's some links:
Sin Wants You Isolated … based on one of my favorite quotes.
The Absence of Opposition … sometimes that means you are in the wrong.
A Mother's Call to Worship … and it's a wonderful call.
Preaching Goliath's Sword … this is more for me but it's also for you, as you think about what your pastor should be doing in the pulpit.
Are Parents to Blame for Prodigals … a good, balanced answer.
“[T]he most remarkable miracle of all is not God’s speaking the creation into existence out of nothing, but rather the infinite Creator’s taking upon himself all the finite features of the lowly creatures he made in order to bring about their redemption.”
– Scott Christensen
